One of the best backdooring heroes on DotA, this guide tells you how to make your enemy insane. by using youre backdooring skill to the fullest... if you're courageous enough to do this, then welcome to this guide.

Requirement for this Guide
1. Courageous
2. Map aware
3. Good on Mapcontrol

When to Pick
-lots of melee enemies
-1 anti-tank hero
-Has a dedicated Babysitter(Dazzle)

When not to pick
-Many anti-tank heroes
-Has 3 or more than stunners and disablers
-If youre afraid to backdoor.

Skills


Berserker's Call

Mogul Kahn focuses all of his enemies' hatred on him, causing them to attack him at all costs.


Battle Hunger

Afflicts a target with a terrible killing hunger. The target will take damage per second until it kills a unit.


Counter Helix

Mogul Kahn counters some blows made to him dealing damage to all nearby enemy units.


Culling Blade

Purges the weak from Mogul Kahn's sight. Deals moderate damage, but will kill a target that is low on life.

Some looks familiar, but the battle hunger leveling is a change. the battle hunger skill is very useful for you in this guide, and it helps you to kill some heroes on backdooring, plus its hard to counter on this part since your backdooring. it means your allied creeps is more further for them to kill

Seeing something unusual? Yes, the max Battle Hunger first build. You might think this is ridiculous but this is really useful especially a lot of chasing is would be done by backdoor Axe. But i do not recommend on doing this. this build is quite complex that may leave you extremly underleveled if not used correctly. I do fail on using this sometimes, but most often i dominate my enemies
Justification:
This is not just any other Axe build, this build is specialized on backdooring enemies tower, this backdooring that ill teach you is not any other backdoor... this backdoor is for you is courageous enough to do it...


Why Max Counter Helix first then Berserker's Call?
for this is your main tanking and backdooring skill, it will help you piss off your enemies...

Why Get Battle Hunger?
Because this Guide will give you a lot of chasing, its not you who is chasing but the enemy, which makes your ally happy.. but it can also make you're ally sad...

Why not Get Culling Blade on Lvl 6?
Its optional, this guide gives you a lot of Backdooring, you can choose whether to get it or not, its you're choice, but i do not recommend it on this guide....

Yes, a lot is chasing to be done and you need some MS

Town Portal
Yes, buy this again if you have a chance to. this will make the chase more harder for enemies more easier to you

Wards
As i said you need MAP AWARENESS, but you do not really need to buy these, you can tell your support ally to buy some for you..

Power Threads

as i said you need to run like hell, Threads give you Decent MS, not only that, more HP, HP is what you really is chasing here.

Why not Travel or Phase Boots?
Travel is acceptable, but its too costly. i rather buy a blink dagger than Travel, but if youre rich enough then buy one.

Phase boots? no dont try to use it. in its earlier versions it adds armor which is good and acceptable, but this version removes it, if you buy this it will not add on your tankiness of the battle field

But you said its a lot of chasing, Phase Boots has a more decent MS Threads.
Yes, its a lot of chasing, but as i said on the top, HP is the thing that you really wanted to get here but if you feel that they can catch you and you would not survive if that does happen then buy this.

Vanguard

Yes, this. provides you HP, HP regeneration, and damage block. perfect for a tank like axe. Especially on backdooring

Why not Poorman's shield?
well that item is acceptable, but as for the top HP is the thing that you really wanted to get here. Plus bonus regeneration and damage block.

Kelen's Dagger of Escape a.k.a. Blink Dagger
Yes, Axe's best friends, for it gives you a decent initiating combo, and a decent escape mechanism. It can switch prioritization on Blade Mail

Why not Lothar's?
For it is easy counterable by Gem, Dust, and Wards. plus it is more expensive than Blink Dagger

Blade Mail

Blade mail is situational, but this guide requires this to you, you can switch places on prioritization on blink dagger if you want to

Why this as priority item?
For Backdoor Axe needs armor and intelligence to make him spam his skills and return for counter on his greatest weakness.

Introducing a new item from 6.67, the soul ring. this will help you to spam all your skills easily without mana problems...

Hood of Defiance

Yes, the Hood of Defiance also known as HoD, you can use this if the enemy throwing a lot of spells to you making you insanely useless

Khadgars Pipe of Insight

if youre a team oriented player and wanted to support, buy this

Black King Bar
Also known as BKB.... this item is very situational especially if a ton of disable is coming your way. don't hesitate to buy this if enemies has a lot of disabling skill

Battle Fury
Adds your pushing ability plus extra hp and mana regeneration

Luxury Items

Aghanim's Scepter

want to pawn them instantly in every minute? Buy this

Heart of Tarrasque


Do you see its hypnotizing light? Yes and it says buy it. Gives you hp and good hp regeneration, but quite useless during team fight though.



Shiva's Guard

Yes, you can freeze them and burn them at the same time



Assault Cuirass

This help you tank more, plus adds attackspeed both allies and you, dont forget the reduction of enemies armor.



Radiance

Feel its Christmas? buy this and it will ensure that they will have some Christmas lights on their own.



Guinsoo Scythe of Vyse

Yes this is a nice disable, plus mana regeneration... now eat them like a chicken....

Most important part

Gameplay

Now, my favorite part. telling you about the main gameplay of backdoor Axe. this is where the lots of chasing part will happen, i repeat this is not for noobs nor newbs guidebut this is for the players who is quite decent. But of course noobs and newbs can still try this technique.

Early Game
Yes at last we reached on discussion on early game. This is the insane chasing im telling you starts.

If you bought the first recommended items, run directly.

If you are in sentinel go top, if your scourge go bottom

Why? because the most appropriate place for you to do this technique is on those sides(long lane)

To pull of this techniques you must have a dedicated support hero, special mention Dazzle

Simple Distraction Technique

a. 1st Technique

1: prepare yourself in the middle of 1st and 2nd top tower
2: let the first wave of creeps pass
3: Lore creeps on the seconds wave and kill em all, or Just kill the creeps on the lane. (Note: if enemy hero/heroes is missing lore the creeps, just leave the lane or fight them)
4: Repeat step 3 all over and over again until you are really farmed(Note: If your Hp is already low TP home or if you have regeneration items, Use it)

Note: if you get the advanced backdoor build or you if have battle hunger, spark the enemies head in order for them to return lane to last hit, or get damage. And also be MAP AWARED

2nd Technique

1: Help your ally on blocking the creeps on your lane
2: If you familiarize when the creeps show up(creeps spawn time), move in advance(after the time is over, go there) and block/backdoor creeps
3: Repeat step 2 all over and over again

Note: if you get the advanced backdoor build or you if have battle hunger, spark the enemies head in order for them to return lane to last hit, or get damage. And also be MAP AWARED

b. WTF ill kill you distraction

1st technique

1. wait on the middle of 2nd and 3rd tower(Note: dont wait near it, just stay hidden on the on the woods and if the right time comes show yourself)
2. Again kill the 2nd creeps waves, lore or just right on the lane(Remember: Map Awareness)
3. Repeat step 2 all over and over again(Note: if they got mad they'll and come and kill you, consider this as a success. TP home or just right on your laning tower if your Hp is still considerable)


Note: if you get the advanced backdoor build or you if have battle hunger, spark the enemies head in order for them to return lane to last hit, or get damage. And also be MAP AWARED

Mid Game:
if you are farmed well and have the Core extension items. blink+berserk+Blade Mail+Battle Hunger+Ulti... thats it enemy is down... especially ursa or mortred or slark

Late Game:
Continue the technique and activate those luxury items and the game ends.

Heroes who helps you

Initiators
etc.

You fail to initiate? they'll save youre ass on the epic failure you made.

AoE nukers



Yes they benefit from you. IF you initiated well of course

Backdoor Monster's and Babysitter Heroes



of course babysitters, in order to constant heal him when his hp is down, enchantress is both a backdoor monster and a support. 2 in 1

Heroes to beware

Mana Burners




You already know you have mana problems... they will make it worse for you

The Ursa Warrior


Yes you want to tank, but he wants to hit. Good thing Mr. Blade Mail is here to save you from this foe

The Life Stealer


This anti tank hero will screw you. Blade Mail does not return to magic immune units. Hunt this guy on the jungle and dont let him have his core items

The Murloc



Well not really a problem on killing him WHEN visible, if he's invisible. Youre screwed up. Counter him by Gem and Wards
